You may remember Paul Dateh’s violin work from our songs “So Far” and “Rise And Shine,” but you might not know that he’s also a really talented songwriter and vocalist (that’s also him singing “aaaaAAAAah” through-out “Beautiful City”). I also have to give Paul props for being the man who convinced me to start this blog, and use the internet to market in general…shit, he was telling me I needed to get on Twitter two years ago. Paul’s self titled debut album just dropped on Tuesday, and it features plenty of violins, vocals and more. Check it out on iTunes, Amazon, or any other digital outlet, or hit Paul at his site for a retail copy. He’s also performing and celebrating his album release at The Old Temple Bar (er…Dakota Lounge…?) on Saturday night, check him out if you can’t make our show. Here’s a new video blog from Paul below, talking about the new album and the release show, and featuring the beat from “Rise And Shine”:
Brand new mixtape from Yannick and Yonas, mixed by the big homey Mick Boogie. This is the prelude to U-N-I’s debut LP A Love Supreme, which will be entirely produced by Ro Blvd. This tape is simply dope as hell – 27 tracks of good hip hop. I know my name’s on the tracklist, but I’m not on the tape…long story. The U-N-I/Tunji collaboration is cursed, I swear. Click the cover to download!!!
A couple of clips from our session last Saturday, working on the opening track for the EP with Cook and Paulie Dots. We’re blessed to have such talented friends in our corner. EP’s dropping on Tuesday by the way. Our bad. Shit happens. Peep the videos!!!
Most of you know we have another project we were planning on putting out today. We’ll just need a few extra days to get everything ready to be released. We hope you understand and we assure you that the wait is well worth it.
Thanks for the interest and support!
Remember Jan. 5th!!
In the meantime peep the new mixtape from our Strong Arm Steady fam and also grab U-N-I’s crazy new joint.
Busy as hell right now, but I gotta post our new joint – “So True,” featuring the big homey Deacon from the CunninLynguists. This is the title track from The So True EP, dropping on New Years Day. Much more soon.
Here’s the unedited version of Vince’s debut video. We were in the studio until 4am last night working on the remix to his joint “Mass Appeal” along with El Prez and Shawn Jackson. Dope shit.
